Turkey Season Opens March 22, 2008
The season extends through May 15 and the limit is three (3) gobblers. The forecast for this turkey season is looking good and now is the time to be scouting the woods to learn where the favorite roosting places are and making plans for being in just the right spot on opening morning.

I was surprised during the last couple of weeks of the duck season while standing out in our beaver pond in my waders, to hear not only the raucous noise of hens coming off the roost, but gobling too. Duck season ended January 27, but the gobbling of the toms could be heard loud and clear. Don't know what that means for the season, but it appears that the birds are ready. I expect that the hunting success will be better early in the season, so go get'em and good luck to all of you hunters!
