Description:   We offer a great beginners whitewater kayaking school where you'll learn the skills you need to become a better and safer paddler. The lessons start with 2 nights of practice and instruction in a heated pool where you will be rolling your kayak like a pro after 2 two hour sessions. These pool classes are limited to four people each night (8pm - 10pm Monday through Thursday). Your instruction will be from some of the best kayakers in the country. From there we go for two day trips to the Cartecay River where you paddle on class II and III rapids.

Nantahala Outdoor Center

Description:   The original whitewater outfitter, Nantahala Outdoor Center offers whitewater rafting on six southeastern rivers and whitewater canoe and kayak instruction. Based on the Nantahala River, NOC's paddling students kayak and canoe on rivers throughout the Southeast, including Georgia's Chattooga River. The world has come to NOC to learn to paddle since 1972, when the company was founded.

Southeastern Expeditions

Description:   Since 1972 Southeastern Expeditions has provided the highest quality, professionally guided whitewater rafting trips on the best rivers in the South: the Chattooga and Ocoee. We also teach whitewater canoe and kayak instruction and host overnight rafting and canoe trips. Experience is not necessary and we provide all necessary gear and equipment.
