Sylvan Falls Mill Historic Bed & Breakfast

Treat yourself to a stay in the rustic northeast Georgia Mountains and relax in the lush surroundings of nature. Tucked in a beautiful valley ringed with mountains lies a bed and breakfast located on the site of a historic mill. Beside the scenic waterfall and colorful profusion of flowers and herbs, discover Sylvan Falls Mill Historic Bed & Breakfast.

The Sylvan Falls Mill site has been the location of a working gristmill for over 150 years. The mill was constructed in 1840 from wormy chestnut wood. The original wood water wheel was replaced in 1946 by a 27 - foot, 10,000 pound steel wheel, moved from Tennessee. The waterfall, fed from springs atop Black Rock Mountain, cascades over one side of the property that overlooks the picturesque and tranquil Wolffork Valley.

There are many unique touches that will make your stay at Sylvan Falls Mill Historic Bed & Breakfast memorable. The mill itself is built on a solid foundation of rock, which provides the florring in some parts of the mill. Relax out on a cozy screened porch situated right next to the cascading waterfall. Watch the water wheel in motion or the swirling cold water as it runs under the porch. Join the butterflies and hummingbirds as you meander through gardens offering a dazzling palette of herbs and flowers. Catch some quiet time on a bench located at the foot of the waterfall or wander along the peaceful country road and enjoy the simple splendor of God's handiwork exhibited throughout nature.
